The Barren County Trojanettes tackled a tough team out of Tennessee on Saturday at Bowling Green, and dropped their second game of the season.
The Trojanettes fell to Clarksville Christian — the No. 14 ranked team in Tennessee, according to MaxPreps — 48-38. Barren fell behind 13-5 in the first quarter.
Clarksville Christian pushed its lead to 31-16 by halftime. Barren’s defense tightened in the second half. It posted a 14-12 advantage in the third period, and an 8-5 edge in the fourth.
Shelby Byrd led the Trojanettes with 16 points, while Addy Slagle added 13.
Barren returns to action Tuesday with a non-district game at Warren Central at 6 p.m.
