The Glasgow Common Council will meet Monday, Dec. 22, at 6 p.m. at the Luska J. Twyman Municipal Building.
Among the items on the agenda is a rezoning request for around 13 acres of property located north of Lakeview Boulevard near Cleveland Avenue, which would rezone the property from light industrial to highway service business.
Council members will also consider a first reading for an ordinance accepting Beltline Boulevard as a city street, as well as an ordinance amending the city’s ethical conduct code.
Under old business, the council will vote on municipal orders reappointing Charles Rice and Melba Richardson to the Renaissance Steering Committee.
The meeting will also include approval of the Dec. 8 council meeting minutes and the Dec. 22 agenda as the order of business, along with standard opening items.

Old business:
Municipal Order 2025 – Charles Chappy Rice is hereby re-appointed to serve as a member of the Renaissance Steering Committee.
Municipal Order 2025 – Melba Richardson is hereby re-appointed to serve as a member of the Renaissance Steering Committee.
New business:
First Reading Ordinance No. 2025 – An ordinance rezoning the property located north of Lakeview Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue intersection and the Forester Road and Cleveland Avenue intersection, containing 13.00 acres, more or less, from I-1 (Light Industrial District) to B-3 (Highway Service Business District) classification.
First Reading Ordinance No. 2025 – An ordinance accepting Beltline Boulevard as a city street.
First Reading Ordinance No. 2025 – An ordinance amending Ordinance 2025-3071 establishing an ethical conduct code applicable to the officers and employees of the city and city agencies.
