No injuries were reported after a Grandview Avenue house fire on Monday, Dec. 22.
Glasgow firefighters “noticed smoke from outside [of 112 Grandview Avenue] that seemed to be coming from inside the wall and the attic space,” a press release stated. After making “inspection holes,” crews located the fire and extinguished it quickly, the release stated.
“Simultaneously…units were working on the outside of the structure by pulling siding off the side of structure to search for anymore flame extension,” the release stated. “After the fire was out, fire units then began to use thermal imagers and ventilation to search for additional flame or smoke extension.”
Firefighters were on the scene for approximately one hour. The cause of the fire was not included in the release.
