The Glasgow Lady Scotties fell behind by 20 points before rallying against Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday. They eventually lost, 51-44, in the semifinals of the 2A Section 2 Tournament.
The Lady Wildcats outscored the Lady Scotties 20-11 in the first quarter, and opened the second period on a 13-2 run to lead 33-13. Glasgow finished the first half on a 6-2 run and trailed 35-19 at halftime.
The Lady Scotties continued to rally in the third quarter and posted a 13-8 advantage. Franklin-Simpson led 43-32 after three quarters. Glasgow posted a 12-8 edge in the fourth quarter, but could not complete the comeback.
Kayla Kirkpatrick led the way for the Lady Scotties with 19 points.
Glasgow returns to action Thursday night at Warren East in a key 15th District showdown. The Lady Scotties’ game tips at 6 p.m.
