Glasgow Independent Schools is hosting its annual District Arts Night at 6:30 p.m. this Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Plaza Theatre.
This free event will feature performances and artwork from students of all ages.
Sarah Shepherd, choir director for Glasgow High School, recently told WCLU Radio that the idea of this event began with trying to find a night where the district could showcase “every aspect of the arts within Glasgow Independent Schools — from visual art to instrumental music to the performing arts, musicals and then also choral music.”
“This is the 4th year that we have actually put on this event,” Shepherd said. “Which just makes me so pleased and proud that our district really does value arts education within all of our schools.
“It’s a really neat evening for everyone to come together.”
