Hilary A. Garrett, 70, of Park City, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Herbert Gene Hileman and Maurita Caffrey Hileman. She was a LPN and retired from Glasgow State ICF.
When you met Hilary, the first thing you noticed was that unforgettable red hair & her spirit was just as bold. She loved her family, especially her kids & grandkids, & after a long day you could find her with a cold beer & a cigarette, watching her soap operas. Harvey always said strangers never stayed strangers around her. She had a way of turning any moment into a story and any person into a friend. Hilary was loved deeply and will be missed just as deeply. We’ll carry her in our memories, in our laughter, and in every moment we find ourselves saying, “Hilary would’ve loved this.
She is survived by her loving husband, Harvey B. Garrett; one son, Nathan Garrett; five grandchildren, Garrett Graven, Summer Rain Taylor, Jolynn Nicole Garrett, Gwendolyn Garrett and Blaine Garrett; two brothers, Ned Hileman and Herb Hileman; two sisters, Jackie Machnacki (Frank) and Jenny Gilkison; one sister-in-law, Mona Tizedes (George); one brother –in-law, Albert Garrett (Toni Bull); special friend, Jena Pace and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Nicole Garrett; two sisters, Becky Kennon and Ellie Aboloz; one brother-in-law, James Garrett (LuAnn).
Funeral will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bon Ayr Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00 am Friday until time for services.
