The Caverna Colonels opened their season at rival Hart County, and left Munfordville with a 67-53 win.
After a close first quarter — the Colonels led 11-10 after it — Caverna slowly pulled away as the game continued.
The Colonels led 32-25 at halftime and pulled away in the third period with a 22-17 advantage. Caverna led 54-42 after three quarters.
