Drew Rhodes came off the bench Tuesday night in Union Commonwealth’s 83-77 win over Bluefield. The former Caverna Colonel poured in 13 points in 20 minutes. He added four rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Redshirt junior forward Kaleb Hedgepeth led the Bulldogs offensively, going 11-of-14 from the field and scoring a career-high 26 points. Ali Sakho added 16, Rhodes had 13, Dallas Rufus scored 12, and Jabari Covington rounded out the double-digit scorers with 11.
Union Commonwealth improved to 3-7 overall and 2-2 in conference.
The Bulldogs travel to Benjamin F. Brady Arena in Cleveland, Ga., on Saturday to take on Truett McConnell. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. central time.
