The Glasgow Lady Scotties opened the 2025-26 basketball season with a 58-47 win at Somerset on Tuesday.
The Lady Scotties were on fire from 3-point range early, which helped them build a lead they did not relinquish. Reese England and Kayla Kirkpatrick each nailed a pair of 3s in the first quarter as Glasgow built a 19-11 lead. The Lady Scotties stretched their lead to double digits, 32-15, at halftime. In the second quarter, England and Jordy Goodman each made a 3.
Glasgow did not hit a 3-pointer in the second half, but played defense well enough to hold off the Lady Briar Jumpers. The Lady Scotties picked up 19 steals in the game.
