The Glasgow Police Department has released its monthly checkpoint advisory. This advisory is for Dec. 5 through Dec. 31.
Locations for this month include Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway and Happy Valley Road, according to a release from the police department. The safety check points are not limited to those locations within the city’s limits.
“Officers will be enforcing laws related to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, licensing of motor vehicles and operators, registration and insurance, seat belt and child restraint and motor vehicle equipment violations,” the release stated. “Checkpoints are utilized throughout the Commonwealth to help promote highway safety.”
