Eli Brooks continued to be a key scorer for Campbellsville as the Tigers won a pair of games before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Brooks led Campbellsville with 17 points and eight rebounds in a 67-61 win over West Virginia Tech. He followed that performance with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists in a 66-62 win over Rio Grande (Ohio).
In the Tigers’ win over Rio, Brooks scored 10 of his 12 points in the first 20 minutes. Campbellsville overcame a double-digit second-half deficit to improve to 9-0.
In his first season at Campbellsville, Brooks, a junior, is averaging 11.8 points, 2.3 assists, and 6.1 rebounds per game.
The Tigers return to action Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against Warner University in Kingsport, Tenn.
