John Daniel Hawkins age 53 of Decatur, Alabama passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 24, 2025 at Decatur Morgan Hospital ER in Decatur. He was employed as an engineer with American Sound. John Daniel was a member of the Little Flock Baptist Church.
He was a leader, he had the type of personality to be in charge and he had the biggest heart that anyone would ever see.
He was preceded in death by is mother Carolyn Stasel Burelson.
John Daniel is survived by his wife Angela Sanders Hawkins; his son, Dayton Reece; his daughters, Ashley Hawkins Richardson(Aubrey) & Olivia Danielle Hawkins; his dad,Lester Carroll Hawkins and a half-sister Vicki Bennett.
The funeral service for John Daniel Hawkins will be held at 10am Saturday, November 29, 2025 in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7pm and after 8am Saturday at the Sego Funeral Home, the family chose cremation after the service.
