Three scores of names are set to be added to Glasgow’s Veterans Wall of Honor.
Located in the Beula C. Nunn Park in the southwest corner of the Glasgow Public Square, the memorial “honors the citizens of Glasgow and Barren County who have served this country in the armed forces,” according to the city’s website. Currently there are more than 1,667 name-engraved plaques on the wall.
Matt Mutter, chairman of the Barren County Veterans Association, said he is picking up the plaques on Nov. 20 and is waiting for a “dry, semi-warm day” to put them up on the wall. The last batch of names were added to the memorial in 2024 when 50 names were added.
