Returning for the third time, the Hometown Showdown Lip Sync Battle is planned for Saturday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m.

The lip-sync battle benefits the T.J. Community Mission Foundation, the philanthropic arm of T.J. Regional Health. At the inaugural showdown, which was in 2023, the foundation raised $45,170 from ticket sales and donations; and the second raised over $53,000, according to previous Glasgow News 1 reporting.

Eight teams will compete — two at a time — in hopes of coming out ahead. The teams are: Southcentral Kentucky and Community Technical College versus WKU Glasgow, Metcalfe County High School versus Adair County High School, Far Off Broadway Players versus Commonwealth Broadcasting, and T.J. Samson Community Hospital versus T.J. Health Pavilion.

“You do not want to miss this,” Executive Director Randy Burns said.

Tickets are on sale for $40 at the Plaza Theatre’s website.
