An Edmonton woman received a two-day pass to Dollywood courtesy of the T.J. Community Mission Foundation.
The all-inclusive trip was paid for by the foundation’s Dreamcatcher Program that was announced by Executive Director Randy Burns at the April Coffee and Commerce. Tiffany Wilson is the inaugural recipient of the program.
Wilson received a two-day pass to Dollywood, accommodations at Dollywood’s Dream More Resort and Spa, and tickets to Dolly Parton’s Stampede and Pirate’s Voyage Dinner Show, a T.J. Community Mission Foundation stated.
At the time, Burns said the Dreamcatcher Program would be akin to the Make-A-Wish program, “but exclusively for South Central Kentuckians” that are either critically or terminally ill. Darlene Cox, Wilson’s mother, said she has experienced seizures all of her life, and was recently diagnosed with colon cancer that has spread to her liver.
“She’s been undergoing treatment, and thankfully her most recent scans show the cancer appears to be shrinking,” Cox said.
Tiffany herself shared simply, “This has just been awesome, and I’ve had a great time!”
