The Glasgow Scotties’ offense caught fire in Scottsville Friday night in a 41-6 win over Allen County.
Nearly half way through the first quarter, Glasgow quarterback Hudson Gumm ran 11 yards for the opening touchdown of the game. Jared Malagon added the extra point.
The Scotties’ second score came three and a half minutes into the second quarter on a 12-yard run by Jalen Bradley. Malagon’s kick put Glasgow ahead 14-0.
With 2:44 left in the first half, Gumm hit Jerrick Martin on a 53-yard touchdown bomb. Malagon added the PAT and the Scotties led the Patriots 21-0.
Glasgow added one more score before halftime on a 10-yard run by Gumm.
Allen County-Scottsville finally got on the board with 3:20 left in the third quarter on a 10-yard pass play. The two-point conversion attempt was stopped by Glasgow and the score was 28-6.
Bradley added his second touchdown of the game with 1:07 left in the third frame on a 10-yard run. The kick was off target and Glasgow led 34-6.
Jaithan Franklin finished the scoring in the game with a one-yard run. Malagon added the extra point kick and set the final score of 41-6.
Gumm completed 7 of 8 passes for 170 yards.
Martin caught three passes for 114 yards, and Bradley caught one pass for 26 yards.
Bradley led the Scotties in rushing with 77 yards, while Cam Bulle rushed for 24 yards, Gumm had 23 rushing yards and Martin ran for 21 yards.
Glasgow improved to 4-0 with the win, while Allen County fell to 0-4. See a gallery from the game here.
Glasgow plays at Adair County next Friday at 7 p.m. in its district opener.
