Franklin-Simpson dominated the second half Wednesday night against Glasgow and knocked the Scotties from the 2A boys’ soccer tournament. The Wildcats and Scotties were tied 1-1 at halftime of the Section 2 title game, but Franklin outscored Glasgow, 4-1, in the second frame to win 5-2.
Isaiah Ramos opened the scoring for Glasgow with 28:13 left in the first half. Franklin equalized the score, 1-1, with just over three minutes remaining before halftime.
The Wildcats took the lead for good less than eight minutes into the second half. They added another goal 19 minutes later and their fourth goal with less than 10 minutes to play.
Daniel Rodriguez scored Glasgow’s second goal with three minutes left on the clock.
The Scotties fell to 3-4-1 with the loss. They are back in action today at Allen County-Scottsville in a 15th District contest at 5:30 p.m.
