Barren County scored early en route to a 4-1 win over Glasgow in a boys’ soccer match Tuesday.
The Trojans’ Ignacio Garcia Rodriguez punched in the game’s first goal less than 10 minutes into the contest. Barren took a 2-0 lead into the break when Damian De Paz headed in a corner kick.
The lead extended to 3-0 less than two minutes into the second when Luke Prichard scored from outside the box.
Glasgow cut the lead to 3-1 with 21:06 on the clock in the second half on a shot by Owen Travis, but Gabriel Nyekan secured the win for the Trojans with a goal with 6:13 to go.
Barren improved to 2-2-1 and 1-0 in the 15th District, while Glasgow fell to 3-3-1 and 1-1.
Jacob Dooley saved nine shots in goal for the Trojans, while Josue Lopez saved eight for the Scotties.
