Glasgow erupted in the second half Tuesday to roll over Warren East, 6-1, in boys’ soccer. The game counted as both a 15th District contest and a 2A Sectional game.
It took the Scotties nearly 34 minutes to score their first goal, but they turned the game into a rout in the second half.
Jared Malagon struck with 7:38 left on the first-half clock to give Glasgow a 1-0 lead. That lead carried into the intermission.
Malagon added his second goal of the game less than three minutes into the second half. Six and a half minutes later, Isaiah Ramos added Glasgow’s third goal.
Alex Montalvo answered for the Raiders with 22:40 left in the contest, and the game stayed 3-1 for nearly 20 minutes.
The Scotties poured in three goals with under five minutes remaining. Ramos and Malagon each added a score, and Johan Bonilla Milla polished off the goal flurry.
Glasgow improved to 2-1-1 overall and 1-0 in district action.
The Scotties return to action Thursday at Taylor County at 5:30 p.m. central time.
