Barren County dropped a pair of golf matches, recently, in South Central Conference action. At the end of the first week of conference play, Adair County and Cumberland County were both 2-0. The Trojans dropped matches to both of those teams.
Against Adair, Cam Pippen led with a 38, while J.P. Ross shot 43, Kade Hardy fired 45, Jay Houchens posted a 46 and Carson Browning finished with a 48. Lincoln Zalla (49), and Cam Combs (51), also played, but their rounds were not included in the team score.
The Indians won the match, 147-172.
Against the Panthers later in the week, the Trojans fell six shots shy, 158-164.
Pippen led with a 38, while Combs shot 41, Hardy, 42, and Sean Broady and Ross each posted a 43. Also for Barren, Zalla fired 45, Peyton Janes posted a 48, and Lincoln Bielak finished with a 53.
The Trojans have two more conference matches this week — Tuesday at Green County at 4:30 p.m. and Thursday at Willow Oaks Golf Club against Russell County at 4:30 p.m.
