Tate Pace bounced back Tuesday at Willow Oaks Golf Club to lead all local golfers in the Scottie Cup. The Glasgow senior shot 3-over par 74 to finish tied for sixth. It was Day 2 of a two-day event at Willow Oaks. Pace shot 12-over Monday.
Greenwood’s Eli Wade captured the individual title with a 1-under 70, while Noah McMillan fired 71 and finished second. Taylor County won the team title with a 303. The Cardinals also won Monday, but did so in a scorecard playoff with Franklin-Simpson. On Tuesday, the Wildcats finished deep in the pack at 11.
The Scotties A team finished at 319, which was good for a tie for fifth with Bowling Green. Barren County’s A team shot 345, while Glasgow’s B team fired 374 and Barren’s B team finished with a 386.
J.P. Ross and Cam Pippen each shot 81 to lead the Trojans.
