Luella (Rich) McMillan, 90, of Bowling Green, KY, formerly of Monroe County, KY, passed away Saturday, July 19th, at Greenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Luella was born in Monroe County, KY on November 19, 1934, a daughter of the late Edna (England) and Carlos Rich.
She married Charlie McMillian on June 12, 1950. Charlie preceded her in death on June 19, 1978.
Luella was a member of Old Zion’s Heritage Way Baptist Church. She worked at KEY and Red Kap Sewing Factories, and she was a caregiver. She enjoyed all types of sewing, quilting and cooking.
Luella is survived by two daughters, Wanda Jones, and husband Ricky, of Bowling Green, KY and Bonita Harper, of Edmonton, KY; a son, Billy Joe McMillian, and wife, Meloney, of Louisville, KY; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Luella is also survived by two sisters; Brenda Halcomb, and husband, Roger, of Bowling Green, KY and Lou McElroy, of Bowling Green, KY; brother, Robert Rich, and wife, Pam, of Bowling Green, KY; sister-in-law, Martha Rich, of Scottsville, KY.
Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn McMillian; a son, Charles Tim McMillian; brothers, James W. “Sonny” Rich and Bill Rich; brother-in-law, Darrell McElroy
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, July 23rd at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 4-8 p.m., and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 12 noon at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Luella’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
