Barren County Schools Board of Education members are set to approve additional methods of communication to be used by district staff during their regular monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon, July 10.
These additional methods will include communication systems used by Western Kentucky University and Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College, according to the agenda, and are in adherence with Senate Bill 181, a new Kentucky law that restricts district communication between staff members, volunteers and students.
The board will also discuss and potentially approve various change orders for district projects, district contracts and multiple district handbooks and manuals, and are scheduled to recognize employees and students of the month, as well as student athletes who placed at the regional track meet.
