Barren, Glasgow elementary students place at national Beta

Several area elementary students recently won awards at the National Elementary Beta Convention in Orlando, Florida.

The following students placed at the competition, according to official results posted on the National Beta Club website:

Highland Elementary’s Jorgia Jones took third place in Jewelry, while Park City Elementary’s Annalise Payne placed seventh.

Wrenlee Cross, of Red Cross Elementary, won seventh place in Poetry.

Highland’s Camden Fields took eighth place in Math 4th Grade.

North Jackson Elementary’s Davis Cook placed eighth in Social Studies 4th Grade.

Stella Jean Shelton, of Temple Hill Elementary, won eighth place in Woodworking.

Park City Elementary’s Kirbie Bonnema placed ninth in Hand Drawn Anime.

Highland took 10th place in Performing Arts Elementary Large Group.

More area students were honored for their participation and performance at the national event. Check out school social media accounts for these additional recognitions.

The National Junior Beta Convention, which also includes some area elementary students, is wrapping up this week and the official results should be posted at a later date.
