UPDATED: State electric siting board changes Barren County public comment session

The Kentucky State Board of Electric Generation and Transmission Siting Board has changed the date of the Wood Duck Solar public comment meeting to July 15 at 5 p.m.

The board released an updated press release Thursday, June 26, with a change in date for the meeting from July 1 to July 15. Also, the initial location of the meeting was incorrect. According to the latest information from the board, the meeting will be in the Barren County Fiscal Court chambers in the county government building at 117 N. Public Square, Glasgow.

Methods for submitting comments ahead of the meeting remain unchanged.

Anyone who would like to submit comments may do so at https://psc.ky.gov/Case/SearchCasesPublicComments, or via email to PSC.comment@ky.gov, or by mail to 211 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, KY 40602-0615. All comments should include the commenter’s name, address, and the case number.

The Wood Duck Solar project is a merchant solar generating facility and related transmission line to be located in western Barren County. The county fiscal court has passed an ordinance concerning the rules governing future solar farms, but the Wood Duck project was not affected.
