One infant was pronounced dead and two people were taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital after a vehicle crashed on Bluff Springs Road in Barren County.
Kentucky State Police said they received a call from the Barren County Sheriff’s Office around noon on May 19. A preliminary investigation by the state police indicates a 2015 Honda Odyssey was traveling west on Bluff Springs Road when it veered off the roadway to the right then collided with a wooden fence and a tree line.
“Two passengers were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital where they will be treated for their injuries,” a state police press release stated. “Tragically, an infant passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Barren County Coroner’s Office.”
The investigation is ongoing and led by Detective Bo Hubbard. On scene, Kentucky State Police were assisted by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Barren County EMS, the Barren County Coroner’s Office
