Murder charges against Bennett, Logsdon to be dismissed without prejudice

Barren Circuit Judge John T. Alexander said he would grant the prosecution’s motion today to dismiss without prejudice the murder cases against Cheryl Leighanne Bennett and Donna Cheryl Logsdon that have been pending for roughly two and a half years.

The pair were accused of killing Michael “Mickey” O. Logsdon in July 2022. He was Bennett’s father and Donna Cheryl Logsdon’s husband. The “without prejudice” part of the dismissal leaves the door open for potential future changes related to the death.
