A teenager was arrested after leading police on a short vehicle pursuit on May 14.
The teen, whose name was not disclosed because he is a juvenile, traveled “at a high rate of speed” when Glasgow police officer Alex Mutter attempted to conduct a traffic stop on East Main Street. Mutter “observed a vehicle that matched a description as a stolen vehicle they were looking for,” a Glasgow police press release states.
The brief chase ended when the vehicle struck a concrete front porch of a residence on Humble Avenue. Public Information Officer Terry Flatt said there were no injuries reported and “very minor” damage to the residence.
The teen is charged with reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, another three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, no operator’s license and disregarding a stop sign.
