Barren County educators and staff members who are retiring at the end of this school year were recognized during the district’s board of education meeting Thursday evening in the Barren County High School auditorium. Building principals spoke highly of their respective retirees as each walked across the stage, and received a plaque amidst smiles and handshakes.
Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Scott Harper said the retiring educators are “truly exceptional individuals who dedicated their hearts and their souls to shaping Barren County schools.”
“For years, these remarkable educators and staff members have walked our halls, left an indelible mark on the lives of countless students,” Harper said. “They are more than just teachers, instructors and support staff. They are mentors, role models and steadfast sources of encouragement for so many.
“Our retirees have not just taught lessons, they have instilled values and sparked curiosity and nurtured dreams and will continue to shape lives for generations to come.”
