The Sip, Shop and Stroll will affect traffic flow on Glasgow’s Public Square.

The annual event is Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will feature shopping, family fun, food trucks, arts and crafts, magicians, inflatables and a farmer’s market, according to the event flier. It was originally scheduled for May 2, but was postponed due to weather.

Because of the Saturday festivities, Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Terry Flatt said roads around the square will be closed to through traffic. He said roads will begin to close at 7 a.m. with the south side of the square — the side with Yancey’s — will remain closed until 10 p.m. “to allow for live music and clean up.”

“Please use alternate route[s] if you [plan] to travel in these areas,” Flatt wrote in an email.
