A provider of “high-quality inspections and rework services” is relocating to Glasgow, providing an employment opportunity for 25 people.

The business, Premium Services, was founded in 2008 in Franklin, Kentucky, by Mike Jones and Kenny Whitworth. In March, the Barren County Economic Authority announced that Premium Services would be relocating to 55 Aberdeen Drive, which is behind Nemak Kentucky-Plant 1. The relocation also “revitalizes a previously vacant” building, the authority’s press release stated.

“With this move, we are focused on expanding our reach, building new relationships, and continuing to support our customers with the same level of service and expertise they’ve come to expect,” said Mike Jones, co-owner of Premium Services. “As we grow in Glasgow, we remain grounded in our roots — committed to quality, driven by integrity, and proud to be a small business making a big impact.”

Glasgow Mayor Henry Royse said this community investment not only brings new jobs, but also “also reflects the continued growth and vitality of our local economy.” Barren County Judge-Executive Jamie Bewley Byrd added that “this kind of investment breathes new life into our local infrastructure.”

“Welcoming Premium Services to our community is the result of strong collaboration and a shared vision for economic growth,” said Maureen Carpenter, president and CEO of the Barren County Economic Authority. “Their decision to invest in an existing facility not only revitalizes an underutilized asset but also demonstrates confidence in our local workforce and business climate.”
