In the early morning hours of April 9, numerous fire departments converged on a house fire at 7487 Lecta-Kino Road.
East Barren Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Logan Thomas said no one was home at the time of the fire, but the single-wide home was “a total loss.”
He said there was live ammunition in the house at the time of the fire, adding that was not an anomaly for the area. No firefighters were hurt while extinguishing the blaze.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, Thomas said.
Units from East Barren, Temple Hill, Haywood and Summer Shade Volunteer Fire Departments as well as units from the Glasgow Fire Department were on scene for roughly three hours, Thomas said.
