The Louisville office of the National Weather Service has placed Barren County, and most all of Central and Eastern Kentucky, in a freeze warning from April 8 at 9 p.m. until 8 a.m. on April 9.
Temperatures as low as 26 degrees are currently forecasted, according to the service.
“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” the service states.
