Faye Moran

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Faye Moran. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left us peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on March 30, 2025, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her first husband – Hal J. “Jim” Bryant, her second husband – Ken Moran, her daughter – Lisa Meredith, her son-in-law – Steve Meredith, her stepson Randy Moran, her great-granddaughter Nicole Wooten, her mother – Cleva Cole, her father – Wallace Cole, her sister – Barbara Rennick, and two brothers – David Cole and James Elbert “Dobber” Cole.

Faye is survived by her daughter Sherre Long (Tim), 3 grandchildren: Kim Rynerson (Phil), Matt Long (April), and Amanda Williams (Nate), and 6 great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Reed, Xavier, Natalie, Isabella, and Jackson – all of Bowling Green. She is also survived by her stepchildren Jeff Moran and Debby Miller, as well as her 7 siblings: Jean Parsley of Cincinnati OH, Charles Cole (Carol) of Rock Spring GA, Mary Brooks of Louisville KY, Eva Martens (Jim) of Bowling Green KY, Ronnie Cole (Karen) of Bowling Green KY, Sharon Pelicano (Chris) of Easley SC, and Dianne Woodburn (Ken) of Bowling Green KY. She is also survived by numerous nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews as well as her life-long best friend and aunt – Gail Pinet of Bowling Green, and her beloved cat – Baby Girl.

Faye was born on June 18, 1935 in Edmonson County, KY to Wallace McKinley Cole and Cleva Iona (Houchin) Cole. As the oldest of 11 children, she grew up with an unwavering spirit that touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Faye married Hal J. “Jim” Bryant in 1955 and together they built a family rooted in love, kindness, and resilience. She was the devoted mother of Sherre and Lisa. Her family was her greatest joy and blessing.

Faye’s second marriage to Ken Moran in 1986 was a testament to love and the beauty of new beginnings. Spanning 30 wonderful years, their journey together was marked by unwavering commitment.

Faye was a woman of deep faith, love, and kindness – her legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be remembered not just for her remarkable life but for the joy and love she shared with others.

Visitation will be at J.C. Kirby and Son – Lovers Lane Chapel on Thursday, April 3 from 4pm-7pm and on Friday, April 4 from 9am-11am. The funeral service will be on Friday, April 4 at 11am with graveside service immediately following at Bowling Green Gardens on Lovers Lane.

Flowers are welcome at the service as a tribute to Faye, who always loved and appreciated their beauty. For those who wish to honor her in another way, donations can be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, whose exceptional care and support brought comfort and dignity to Faye in her final days. Their compassionate guidance eased her transition and provided solace to all who loved her.
