Shawn Coleman, 50, of Glasgow, was arrested by the Glasgow Police Department after allegedly striking an officer in the face.
On Feb. 17, police officers responded to East Cherry Street due to a domestic complaint, according to the department’s press release. Upon arrival, Coleman “became combative” with the officers and struck one in the “face area.”
The officer used “Repulse Spray” on Coleman and he was taken into custody and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
He was charged with third-degree assault of a police officer, menacing, and resisting arrest. Coleman has a $5,000 cash bond and a court date on Feb. 20 at 12:30 p.m.
