An Etoile man is dead after his vehicle went off the road on Interstate 65, according to the Kentucky State Police.
State police troopers arrived at mile marker 54.9, which is a mile north of the Cave City exit, after receiving a call of a single-vehicle collision “just before 10 a.m.” on Feb. 15, the press release states.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 operated by William Rutledge, 59 was traveling north on the interstate when his vehicle went off the roadway to the right, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Rutledge was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hart County Coroner, according to the release.
The investigation is ongoing and will be led by Trooper Mason Roten.
