Barren County got lots of rain last night, and more is likely to come in the next few days.
It is estimated by RainDrop that 2.4 inches fell in Glasgow in the past 24 hours. The National Weather Service in Louisville forecast “isolated showers and thunderstorms” during the afternoon of Jan. 31.
The Glasgow Parks and Recreation Department announced that Beaver Creek Park is closed until the water “recedes to a safe level.” According to Jim McGowen, superintendent of the city’s department of public works, Munfordville Road also has some flooding.
Deputy Judge-Executive Garland Gilliam said they were in the process of checking county roads.
