Volunteers traveled throughout Barren County on Saturday morning to delivere donated food and other items in time for Christmas.
CheyAnne Fant said the boxes contain items such as canned vegetables, mac and cheese, oatmeal, juice, assorted snacks and a crocheted toboggan made by knitting ministries from across the United States, including some made by members of First Christian Church in Glasgow. Fant is the Barren County Schools director of nutrition services and afterschool programs.
She said the boxes included hot spaghetti and ham, donated by South Green Church of Christ.
This is the eighth year the school and volunteers have delivered the boxes.

The boxes were compiled by students in the high school Biomedical class at the Innovation Zone. The boxes contain items such as canned vegetables, mac and cheese, oatmeal, juice, assorted snacks and a crocheted toboggan made by knitting ministries. Michael Crimmins/Glasgow News 1

In addition to the boxes, recipients also got a warm dish of baked Spaghetti and ham prepared by members of the Trojan Academy kitchen staff, who said they had been preparing the food since 5 a.m. Michael Crimmins/Glasgow News 1
