The Barren County Trojan Art Gallery officially opened its doors Dec. 13 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that brought together community leaders, educators, local artists, and students. The gallery, located at Barren County High School, stands as a testament to the power of collaboration.

The gallery was born from a visionary collaboration between Barren County School District and local art enthusiast and philanthropist Dr. Bharat Mody. Their shared commitment to creativity, education, and community engagement led to the establishment of a space dedicated to showcasing art pieces from around the world alongside the work of local artists.

The late Nell Houchens also provided a generous donation to the construction of the gallery, a reflection of her life-long commitment to supporting the youth in our community.

The gallery will serve as an educational and cultural resource that brings greater access to the arts for the entire community.
