Wallace “Dale” Jones, Jr., age 71 of Alvaton, KY, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.
Dale was born July 26, 1953, in Bowling Green, KY to the late Wallace Dale Jones, Sr., and the late Gladvine Bernice Young Jones.
Dale worked for Houchens Industries as a Meat Department Manager for 37 years before retiring. During his retirement, he became an avid collector of classic cars and enjoyed trips with his car groups. His fondest memorable trips were the ones he made with his family and friends in Gulf Shores and the Smoky Mountains.
He is survived by his loving wife Janet Jones of 51 years, and his two children, April Cosby (Michael), and Jon Jones (Ashley), both of Alvaton, KY. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hunter Cosby, Mason Cosby, and Greyson Jones; brother, Roger Jones; sister, Teresa Jones; a very special adopted daughter, Robin Daniels (David), and several nieces and nephews.
The family has entrusted J.C. Kirby & Son, Lovers Lane Chapel with arrangements.
Funeral services for Dale are scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 1:00pm, with burial to follow in Bowling Green Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and again on Wednesday from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donation be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund or to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
