Gleda Marie Temples, age 68, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away on October 13, 2024 at T.J. Sampson Hospital. She was born on February 28, 1956 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late L.G. Washer and Edith Walthall. Gleda was a graduate of Warren Central High School. She attended and graduated from the Bowling Green Beauty College. She was a manager for several restaurants and convenience stores and retired from MCAS New River, Jacksonville, North Carolina. In her spare time, she loved playing bingo, spoiling her grandchildren, and she appreciated Arts and enjoyed traveling.
Along with her parents, Gleda was also preceded in death by her two brothers, George Washer and Jimmy Adams.
Gleda is survived by, her loving husband of 40 years, Larry L. Temples and she was a Navy wife for 20 of those years; her two daughters, Aimee (Patrick) Patton and Victoria Temples; two sisters, Clair Hunt and Jeanie Adams; two aunts, Maybell Mansfield and Betty Rasda
ll; three grandchildren, Gwendolyn Patton, Allen Patton, and Jude Lawrence; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Visitation will begin on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of service. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00am at the J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapel on Broadway.
