Arthur Logan Morrison

Arthur Logan Morrison, son of the late Arthur Simmons “Bozo” Morrison and Mary Catherine Henderson Morrison, was born on Monday, November 26, 1951 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was 72 years, 10 months, and 17 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and attended Summer Shade Methodist Church. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a Mail Carrier and Window Clerk after many years, and he was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Army.

Survived by his wife: Denise Layne Matney Morrison of Greensburg, having united in marriage on December 25, 1972.

Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: April and Benjamin Durall of Louisville, Beth and Chris Williams of Greensburg; three grandchildren: Katelyn Williams, Nathan Williams, Ethan Williams; three great-grandchildren: Adleigh Paceley, Owen Paceley, Ayla Paceley; a brother and sister-in-law: Ronald and Jody Morrison; a sister and brother-in-law: Nancy and William Alt; close family friends: Mike and Sandy Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother: Hollis Morrison.

The funeral services for Arthur Logan Morrison will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Honor Guard.

Visitation is requested from 4 P.M., until 8 P.M., Central Time, Wednesday, October 13, 2024 at the cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Thursday until time of the funeral service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Norton Children’s Hospital, which can be made at the funeral home.
