Gary Alan Rich

Gary Alan Rich passed away on Wednesday morning, October 9, 2024, at his home in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Gary graduated from Bowling Green High School, attended Western Kentucky University, Eastern Kentucky University and University of Louisville.

Gary enlisted into the US Navy where he served 6 years before returning to Bowling Green where he served and protected the citizens of Bowling Green for 23 years as a police officer, retiring as Deputy Chief.

After retiring from the force, Gary worked with the Federal Marshalls. Gary loved his wife, his friends and his time on his boat but, Gary mostly loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Edward Rich and his mother Betty Lou Rich. Gary is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kimberly Ann Rich, niece Erin Jennifer Birmingham and her husband Seth, nephew Michael Scott Trapp and his wife Lynn, Brother-In-Law Pastor Lloyd Richards (Terie) and Best Friend Ricky Lewis Trapp (Tammy) and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 2:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday 12:00 pm until time of services at the funeral home.
