Barbara Kay Alford age 66 of Bowling Green, passed away Friday at 12:51 pm at the Auburn Health Care Center. She was born in Detroit, Michigan o the late John and Oma Lee Lay Alford. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Janis Davidson and 2 brothers, David Wayne and Gregory Alford. She served in the United States Army and then on to work as a Medical Records Clerk at the V.A. Hospital in Nashville. Barbara was a member of the Valley View Missionary Baptist Church.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Linda Bewley (Ralph) of B.G., and 4 brothers, Rodney Alford of Morgantown, Steve Alford (Elizabeth) of B.G., John Thomas “Tommy” Alford of Indiana and Bruce Alford (Amy) of Dunbar. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and also cousins. One special longtime friend, Sharon Cardwell of B.G.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Wednesday with the funeral service starting at 1:00 pm Wednesday all at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel, with burial to follow at the Valley View Church Cemetery.
