Jeffery Lee Roten age 58 passed away unexpectedly Thursday in Pell City, AL while traveling to the car races with his wife Leslie.
Jeff was a bus driver for Hart County Schools, he drove for Trooper Island Kids Camp for six summers, he was the former assistant fire chief with the Munfordville Volunteer Fire Dept., he was the coroner for Hart County for 12 years and he owned Roten’s Tree Service and he definitely had a skill for cutting and trimming trees. Jeff & Leslie enjoyed camping and the lake life but most of all loved their family and grandchildren, he was a joy to be with.
He was a member of the Wilkerson Temple Methodist Church.
Jeff was preceded in death by his dad Claudie Roten, his first wife and the mother of his eldest two sons Rosie Roten,
a son Alex Davidson and a brother Mark Roten.
Jeff is survived by his wife Leslie Roten, three sons Nathan Roten(Amanda), Justin Roten(Amber) and Alex Roten(Jinsey); his mother Doris Roten and eight grandchildren Ava Marie, Abby-Rose, Raylan, Aidan, Brayden, Karson, Korbin & Aniston.
The funeral for Jeffery Lee Roten will be 1pm Monday, Oct. 7th in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Benningfield officiating. Burial will be in the Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am-8pm Sunday and after 8am Monday at the Sego Funeral Home. The family’s wishes are for donations to be given to Alex’s Lemonade Stand(foundation for childhood cancer)
