Mary Ann Matney Anderson

Mary Ann Matney Anderson of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late William L. Matney and Mae Kemp Matney, was born on Friday, September 15, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois and departed this life on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 80 years and 7 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Christian Church and was retired from Fruit of Loom as a Bind Leg Sewer.

She was united in marriage to Eugene Anderson on November 7, 1964, who preceded her in death on March 16, 2024.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Clinton Keith and Josie Anderson of Mooresville, Indiana; a daughter: Regina Anderson of Greensburg; three grandchildren: Felicia and Butch Hill, Brandi Anderson, Joey and Allie Anderson; four great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Hill, Aquista Anderson, Brayson Cox, Katon Cox; one great-great-grandchild: Paisley Ann Anderson; a sister and brother-in-law: Shirley and Danny Walls.

She is also preceded in death by three brothers: Wallace Matney, Glen “Moon” Matney, Bob Kemp; two sisters: Wilma Grawemeyer and Genoice Sexton.

Honoring her wishes, cremation was chosen. There will be no formal services at this time. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
