Small Towns Doing Big Things: Free Summer Concert Series in Park City Continues

Aug 26, 2024 | 6:57 AM

Park City’s summer concert series at Bell’s Tavern Park continued with a lively performance from “The Daddy-Os,” a band known for their energetic takes on classic hits. The August concert, which began at 5:30 p.m. with music kicking off around 6:00 p.m., attracted a crowd eager to hear a musical journey through the decades.

The concert series never fails to draw crowds, with this one being no exception. Some residents took the opportunity to show off their dance moves.

The Daddy-Os opened the evening by announcing their setlist would start with songs from the 1950s and move forward to modern hits, ensuring something for all generations to enjoy.

This free concert series, which has become a staple in Park City’s summer lineup, also featured local vendors, including Bluegrass Vineyard.

The winery, based out of Smiths Grove, has been a regular presence at the concerts, offering a selection of wines for attendees to enjoy. Bluegrass Vineyard has a history of participating in various community events, making it a familiar and welcome addition to the concert scene.

WCLU took a moment to speak with a vineyard representative about their favorite part of working events like this one.

Food trucks serving BBQ and ice cream were also present on the warm August evening, giving the event an air of a neighborhood get together.

These concerts are not only an opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy live music but also to support local businesses and enjoy a relaxed evening outdoors.

The series is free to the public, making it an accessible way for the community to gather and celebrate music and local flavor.
