The 83rd Annual Etoile Community Fair is being held today in the Barren County community of Etoile, offering a full day of family-friendly activities from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Organized by the Etoile Homemakers, Etoile 4-H, and the H.B. Grant Masonic Lodge, the event features traditional games such as frog jumping, rolling pin throwing, and an egg toss. Other attractions include an antique tractor show, a pet show, beauty pageants, and a corn hole tournament.
Admission was free, and food was available all day, including treats from the fair’s kitchen and ice cream stand. The event is a long-standing tradition in the region, drawing community members together for a day of celebration and fun.

Multiple tables were set up along the bank of the creek, each offering unique wares for families to enjoy.

Amphibian athletics were on display at the fair’s frog racing competition.

The slimy superstars were goaded to the finish line by their human handlers, all with hopes of croaking out a win.

As the frog racing portion came to an end, some lucky hoppers found their way back into the creek running behind the fair.

Ethan Scott, of 3 Oaks Leather, set up a booth for the first time at the fair. Scott offered attendees handmade pieces each showing a creative passion for the leatherworking arts.

Children competing in the three-legged race learned a valuable lesson in working together, some teams worked in complete tandem, while other may have struggled a bit more, teams and spectators were not short on laughs.
