Debbie Reeves Lanphear

Debbie Reeves Lanphear of Bowling Green, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 after a three-year battle with cancer. Debbie was an active and beloved member of the West End Church of Christ and served as the Deputy Director of the Shelby County Community Corrections Program in Shelby County, Alabama. Debbie was known for her generous spirit, loving heart, and deep and abiding Christian faith. Debbie, along with her twin brother, David, was born on April 5, 1954 to Hubert Brooks Reeves, Jr. and Ann Clayton Reeves.

She is survived by her husband Warren Circuit Judge David Lanphear, brothers David (Jan)Reeves and Dan (Stephanie) Reeves, sister, Beth (Darryl) Fuller, sons Michael (Pippa) Hunt and Nathan (Leigh) Hunt and stepsons Kyle (Kellie) Lanphear and Colin (Mallory) Lanphear. She was preceded in death by son, Gabriel Hunt. She is also survived by grandchildren, Gabriel (Emily) Hunt, Titus Hunt, Ezra Hunt, Patton Hunt, Hannah Hunt, Naomi June Hunt, Madeleine Lanphear, Kate Lanphear, Adam Lanphear, Andrew Lanphear, Harper Lanphear, and one great-grandchild, Peter Hunt.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 12 noon at West End Church of Christ, 300 Blue Level Road, Bowling Green, KY 42101. Visitation will be Monday, August 19, 2024 at West End Church of Christ from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday 9:00 am until time of services at the church building. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens and arrangements have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
