A B.A.R.K.ing good time to be had at Mammoth Cave this Saturday

Aug 15, 2024 | 5:24 PM

Mammoth Cave National Park is calling all canine enthusiasts to join their B.A.R.K. Ranger Day on Saturday, August 17.

This event will feature guided walks and ranger-led programs, emphasizing the role of dogs in protecting national parks. Participants can take the B.A.R.K. Ranger oath, after which their furry companions will receive certificates declaring them as “100% good dogs.”

The event is designed for dogs and their “hoomans” to enjoy the park while promoting responsible pet ownership and outdoor ethics.

Attendees are encouraged to bring leashes, water, and essentials for a fun-filled day in nature. This special day is part of Mammoth Cave’s broader efforts to engage the community while ensuring the park remains a safe and clean environment for all visitors, both two-legged and four-legged.
